Just this 2010, I was clearly able to see the seriousness of sin. How sinful I am. How sinful were my desires. What a waste if for my entire life I only pursue the dreams of success, recognition, money, skill, and all these technology and worldliness. Sin dominates and covers. I certainly hate God when I sin, and I certainly wanted God to vanish so not to face His wrath. I certainly wanted God not to exist and my dreams and life to live forever. How foolish I am in the eyes of God, and yet He loves me.
I did not seek Him, but He called me and made Himself known to me that I may treasure and desire Him above all things. I no longer live in the feelings of guilt and of fear, for Christ died for me and for my sins so that I may be made righteous before God. My actions of helping other people, studying hard, and doing this and that won't merit anything at all. Salvation comes from God's saving grace though faith in Christ alone. This enables us to do good (fruits) that leads to sanctification.
For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness. But what fruit were you getting at that time from the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death. But now that you have been set free from sin and ahave become slaves of God, the fruit you get leads to sanctification and its end, eternal life. For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:20-23)
I pray that I may not fall into forgetfulness, going back to old ways, and tolerating and giving in to temptations. I thank God for her patience in delivering and preaching His message to me. I thank God for my family. We are still united together. I thank God for His word and His mercy.
Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth. (John 17:17)
I pray that all of us may believe and hold on to the truth.
